My opinon: WES is even MASOCHISTIC at some point.
My evaluation only progressed when I SAID SOMETHING ANGRY TOWARDS THE CONTACT. Do they even WORK when customers are not mad at them? Their so-called estimated time are just LIAR by the way.
For any advice, say things bad to the contact will work a bit. That satisfies their hidden desire to get reprimand.
p.s I was very polite with them at the very beginning.

Wasted time (MONTHS!) and money!

Applied in March 2024, paid the fee and sent all the documents. They couldn't verify University's official emails somehow. Asked WES support what do i need to provide for the verification check (no reply), next thing i see - my account is inactive and I have to pay C$50 fee to reactivate it. It's been 5 (five!) months.

I am SUPER disappointed and wish I…

I am SUPER disappointed and wish I could get a refund for such terrible service. I applied in April 2024 and figured I'd have more than enough time to get my documents for August 2024. The joke was surely on me because now in September 2024, I am STILL waiting for a response on my ECA. I keep calling and all I am being told is that my case is being escalated. Terrible company! They take your money and have no regard for you after that.

If I could rate them at a -10 I would

If I could rate them at a -10 I would. For the past two months I've contacted this company repeatedly to resolve a technical glitch in the upload function on the website. They have never contacted me to resolve the issue. Then they claimed not to have received my documents when we have an email indicating that they received the documents three months ago. Finally, they deactivated the account and want another $56 to reactivate.

Do not use this company for credential evaluation. Horrible service, very unprofessional. The CSRs are fine and are trying their best - but they are working for a horrible company.

I strongly advise against engaging with…

I strongly advise against engaging with this company. They take your money and waste your time for several months, outsourcing the work to cheap remote workers who offer no real assistance. You'll spend hours on the phone with them, only to get no results. After several months, I have yet to receive any updates on my evaluation. I've wasted months of my time and over CAD 340. I'm now considering legal action against them to to address this issue and shut down this company with my lawyer

Unacceptable Service!

I applied for a WES Report in early June 2024. I made several follow-ups including on August 7, 2024 where the customer service rep said it is being reviewed and I should get the report that day. It is now Aug 22, 2024 and still no report. I called again and after waiting 24 mins to finally speak with a rep I was placed on hold then the call disconnected. Shameful service!

Untrustworthy company

They promise your evaluation in 35 business days. However, I have been waiting for almost double of that time and still counting! They did not keep their word, and I lost several opportunities because of their delay.
Furthermore their customer service is pathetic. They do not help you, only repeat the same thing over and over again. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME with this company!

Total disaster, highly UNRECOMMENDED

Since I started my application, more than 1 month has already passed and they still claim to have it "under review, in progress". I called by phone to complain and all I received was a "we will try to reply within 2 weeks from now". Three weeks have gone since then, no progress, no communication, no transparency, disaster of organization. Highly unprofessional and NOT recommended.

WES's ability to communicate…

WES's ability to communicate effectively with its customers is bad, and its turnaround time for responding to inquiries is terrible. An FAQ system may answer everything, but individuals also have personal issues that require specific attention.

I saw this review request while trying to do another credential evaluation, and while I should just have used them, I have not. I am searching for alternatives.

Worst experience ever!!

Worst experience ever. Don't ever use WES.
Unacceptable delays. It's just a scam. Zero accountability!
I applied on 06/22/2024, I received the DHL notification that WES received my papers from my university on 07/08/2024, and on 08/19/2024 they just started evaluating my degree. how is that possible. Why did it take them this long to start the process?? and every time I called customer service, the only information they give me is the status I have on my app. they are never helpful. They never answered any question. and now I'm losing lots of jobs opportunity because of WES. I DO NOT RECOMMEND WES TO ANYONE. ITS A BIG SCAM.

I wish I could give this company a 0

I wish I could give this company a 0. This is a scam of a company and the whole world need to avoid them like plague. Horrible customer service. My niece's evaluation has been pending with them for more than 3 months. I have sent multiple messages on their useless "help" portal, made multiple calls. You either get disconnected or speak to a low energy person who lies to you that "they are escalating". My niece missed her fall college intake and is not about to miss the deadline for the spring 2025 applications. Since this company moved to Canada, it's been nothing but a scam. Do not use them. You will not get an evaluation completed. Waste of money, waste of time. Stay away from them under all costs and use other companies. Someone needs to shut them down before they hurt more people. A SCAM.

Lack of service and transparency

We applied 2 month ago and we are still waiting that they start to review the documentation. Yesterday it has been updated showing some documents are missing. We called the customer service serveral times before and this time they said they don´t have more information about the current status and we shall wait more. MORE. We need the work done before the end of this month or we will loose our job. I never had a worst experience with any company as it is being with WES. I will never use their services and I will try to avoid any new user of their services writting this review in any platform I can do it.

Horrible company

They received my docs for evaluation on the 30th of May. Now it is 15th of August and nothing happened. It is already more than 35 business days mentioned. Site doesn't shows any transparency of the evaluation process. Person in support knows nothing about when it would be really done. They are only talking about staff shortage and how busy they are. In this case, ETAs on site should be updated.
Incompetent company, horrible experience and awful support. I would put 0 if there would be an option.

This company is an absolute nightmare

This company is an absolute nightmare. Never use them. They’re beyond hopeless. The timeline they give you for processing is a complete farce. They’ve taken so long to process my documents that my IRCC Express Entry application has expired. Now, thanks to their incompetence, I have to resign from my job and leave Canada. And without my job, I don’t have enough points to be selected from the IRCC pool. Thanks for completely screwing me over, WES, and destroying my dream of creating a life in Canada.

Their website claims that processing takes "typically 35 business days after receiving all documents," with a pathetic disclaimer about "processing times varying due to volume and complexity." What a load of crap. I’ve been waiting triple that time. This is blatant false advertising, and they should be sued into oblivion. You call them, and all they do is parrot the same useless line: "It’s in processing." Filling out their online form is just as worthless; they send you a generic, empty email that tells you absolutely nothing. The IRCC should drop them as a provider immediately because they’re a disgrace.

Lost my Job because of WES: They never verified my PhD degree from a Central University in India. The Customer service was responsive until payment was done then they had no clue about the process. They only keep saying we did not recieve your documents. I almost my job offer

They received my documents four weeks ago. I calculated based on their promise of delivering verified documents in seven business days, and I missed my deadline to apply to my program. I tried contacting them multiple times. They picked up one time, but I could not reach them after that.

Absolute scam with no support or…

Absolute scam with no support or communication.
They said the documents would be processed within 30 days after payment, it's been 2 months and it still says "in progress". I sent them an e-mail asking about what's taking them long and they didn't respond.

The organization that told me that I'm required to do my documents via WES.org called Fragomen also didn't respond to me when I told them that Wes is taking too long to process the documents.
Not sure if I got scammed or not, but don't use this website.

Slow but does the job

I give 3.5 stars to my experience of getting an ECA with WES. My biggest disappointment is the processing delay, which exceeded the provided estimates by 3x in my case, and the fact that I had to ping customer support several times to remind about myself. In place of the announced 35 days to complete the evaluation, the entire process took almost 4 month. Luckily, I could afford waiting, so it was not that big of the deal for me at first. Nevertheless, I got more anxious with time as the deadline was approaching. Hence, my advice to anybody applying with WES: plan well in advance and better apply within a comfortable margin (of 6 months or so) to avoid stressing out.

I have three suggestions to WES: 1) Please be honest about the waiting times. Honesty is appreciated (even though I could speak for myself only). Had you said that it takes up to 4 months to receive an evaluation, the entire process would have left a way better impression. 2) Please check your customer support. The first time I contacted mentioning that my deadline is approaching, I received a formal answer and nothing happened in 3 weeks. Having said that, after the second contact, things moved really fast. 3) Consider introducing priority handling, for an extra fee. Yes, the cost is already high and some people may criticize me for this suggestion as it exacerbates the inequality of possibilities. However, my suggestion is not to do this at the cost of delaying other requests, but rather by hiring additional personnel with the extra money. I understand though that WES is a non-profit organization, so the revenue could be of less interest.

In WES' defense, other institutions I've checked had even longer delays than 4 months that I've experienced (I don't mean the official delays, but rather the real ones that people mention in forums). So my main complaint is not so much the waiting time, but the communication and the lack of transparency when it comes to tracking of the application progress.
In the end, I am satisfied because I have received my evaluation and it is of corresponding degree, and all this within an acceptable delay. The physical letter was delivered quickly, too.

Bottom line, as long as you are realistic about the delays and/or are ready to motivate the urgency and remind of yourself periodically, WES will do the job for you.

Worst experience ever - Unacceptable delays and zero accountability!

I submitted my documents for evaluation in early July and it's now mid-August. Despite promises of escalation when I called customer service (twice!), I'm getting nothing but radio silence. This evaluation is time-sensitive and directly impacts a deadline with USCIS. I was never informed of any backlog that would cause these kinds of delays. Their lack of transparency is outrageous. Now I'm left scrambling and facing serious consequences because of WES's incompetence. If you're on a deadline, look elsewhere! This level of service is beyond unacceptable.
